The purpose of the Small Grains Survey is to detect new infestations of targeted small grains pest species at low population levels. Small grains include barley, oats, and rye and wheat. The Small Grains Survey Reference provides standardized guidelines for conducting a Small Grains detection survey in the United States and its territories.
