The purpose of the Tropical Hosts Survey is to detect new infestations of targeted tropical hosts pest species at low population levels. Tropical hosts include avocado, banana, coconut, coffee, mango, taro, etc. The Tropical Hosts Survey Reference provides standardized guidelines for conducting a Tropical Hosts detection survey in the United States and its territories.
